IATF 16949 Quality Management System
IATF 16949:2016 has become the mainstream certification in the automotive industry
The IATF16949 Automotive Quality Management System Standard was originally created by the International Automotive Task Force (IATF) in 1999 to coordinate different evaluation and certification systems in the global automotive industry supply chain. After years of development and optimization, this standard has developed five major tools, namely Advanced Product Quality Planning and Control Plan (APQP/CP), Potential Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA), Statistical Process Control (SPC), Measurement System Analysis (MSA), and Production Part Approval Procedure (PPAP), which are not only applicable to common technologies and methods for common product and process development in the global automotive manufacturing industry, but also to other manufacturing industries.
